Elena Olave (Durango, 1997) has compiled essentially short poems in this second work of her trajectory: together, the collection consists of 57 poems designed to shake the heart of the world or to protect the homeless, embellished by streams, rains and flowers.
In fact, it uses seasonal, plant and natural waters to designate how difficult it is to name poets and write myths that are considered small in the face of the great scenes and stories that make us see from their eyes. The reader should look at what these words contain: what they show does not always appear. Durangus poems often lead us to the boundary between temporality and eternity, even between past and present. Thus things, the book focuses on loss and change, among other things, and in it can produce a kind of strength of self that can be shy: “With your hands the intensity and passions / because we share / bloom the chestnut upon us / collect the vine in the body. - Until we reach this germ, / each with its weeds, / now we are able to remove the thorns.”
Among the themes we highlight writing itself: Olave explores in his poems the impossibility of writing and writing, the content, reasons and objectives of writing and the writing process or exercise.
