This weekend I was left out, when after having participated with a group in an activity there has been a payment period and everyone has understood the Bizum application as a form of payment, except in my case. Bizum is an application that allows payments via mobile thanks to an interbank agreement that was reached in Spain in 2016. Apparently, offering and controlling physical money is expensive for banks and Bizum has become an opportunity to reduce liquidity and cost control. Regarding citizenship, the strategies to promote the use have been three: the first, to be free; the second, we no longer have money to pay; the third, to increase the perception that you stay out through collective pressure. Many of us have the same thing with Whatsapp.
What happened has led me to think things. The intervention of digitalization in relationships means making our society more efficient. This intervention implies a promise to facilitate and make lives more efficient. It is integrated in the interpersonal communication dynamics, in the dynamics of knowledge and content consumption, in the payment dynamics, in many creation dynamics, in the dynamics of natural resource management, in the couple dynamics, in the control dynamics of domestic devices...
This weekend, when I was left out, the coexistence between homosapiens and hominid Neanderthals touched my head. At school, they told us that the Neanderthals didn't adapt and that the Homosapienses had other relationship dynamics that left the Neanderthal species behind until they disappeared marginalized.
I thought today we are becoming “homodata” in many ways, a hominid who can express all relationships in data. The way we went and understood the world has changed again.
