Nord Stream
Pablo Iglesias, Inna Afinogenova and others have assured that the Americans, or any of their allies, are responsible for the destruction of the Nord Stream pipeline. Afinogenova argues for two major arguments against “analysts who defend Russia as a culprit”: the first, if Russia wants to continue to blackmail Europe with gas, it needs the gas pipeline to run smoothly in order to continue to open and close the tap. The second, if Russia is getting worse in the war in Ukraine because of a lack of military capacity, how could it have the capacity to carry out such an operation in the Baltic Sea, fully controlled by NATO?
I, modestly, would add a third argument: the attitude of the press that comes to our hands on the destruction of the gas pipeline, including the Basque press: on the destruction of the gas pipeline, brief news, hardly analysis, doubts about its authorship… and, on the contrary, bring to the occupation the problem of the territories that Russia has annexed – long news, rich analyses, round statements.

Churches, an CIA advisor, Jim Rickards, talked about what was written on Twitter: “I don’t know who has destroyed the pipelines, but I know that you have to look for motivations to find the answer to a mystery. Russia has none because it can cut off gas flow whenever it wants. The United States has many: blaming Putin, aggravating war, making the European Union subordinate to the United States…”.
They say that the gas that is poured into the pipeline will not pollute the sea, because the gas will go up deep water to the surface and through it will go into the atmosphere, but the effect on the atmosphere will be 7.5 million tonnes of CO2. Compare: This is all CO2 emitting all the vehicles circulating in Spain for a year. I am convinced that I will never understand anything, and that the first victim of war is true, I know that in this kind of news you cannot trust anyone. Years have made me suspicious and the official version almost never believe me. So far nothing new. For me, the new thing is to find alternative and convincing versions that question the official version, and the difficulties that exist from that contrast to work an “own” interpretation. There is always the risk of being deceived, but it is so damaging to listen to the voice of the officialism, which leaves you on the threshold of stupidity.
