It always makes special enthusiasm to see a Basque artist outside Euskal Herria, there is always a point of nervousness and complicity. The Palau Foundation holds every summer the festival of poetry and me, with performances in the villages of the Maresme region. We have travelled by bike from Sant Esteve de Palautordera to Caldes d’Estrac.
Prato Green
WHEN: July 10:
Caldes d'Estrac (Catalan Countries)
The quote is in the garden located at the back of the Foundation building. The place and its views are beautiful. But from the popular environment, it's actually one of those little festivals in Catalonia, in terms of atmosphere and price. Unlike those who come to sing today, the general public is adult.
Ana Arsuaga goes up with loop and keyboard to the small stage and Lourdes Iriondo starts the screening. The ability of tolosarra to control her voice, but above all, to darken or clarify her voice from one sentence to another in the same song, is not unimportant. There are people who also manage to be their characteristic vibrato and one of them is Prato Green.
If you notice the youth, it's not the youth you have in interpreting an innocent youth. Presence and security, or at least appearance, are left on stage, although a nervous smile shows a point of humility and nervousness in the passage from one song to another. Only then does it look vulnerable. Nor does it have any trouble dancing on the ground and singing to capella, with or without a microphone – I would say that he caught me in one of these songs.
He sings one hand in the chest and in the stomach the other if he's not dancing or on the keyboard and he suffered when he knew he was going to go up the heels, he has always shown absolute control of the wide record. Songs with looper and pre-programmed bases are hard to finish, there's not much chance that they will slowly drop the volume or break abruptly, and sometimes have become violent to me.
The tolosarra has offered a concert of about ten songs, the vast majority of the Legend, but also the last two of the Jaikiera, some new and two versions. It is appreciated that the versions were versions, not just song interpretations. Verde Prato has endorsed a song by Herzainak and Kortatu, bringing out clear harmonies and polishing melodies, giving prominence to them.
The tablado always has the responsibility of thanking, but they can give thanks for coming, for being quiet, for dancing… "Thank you for coming and for being so respectful", the musician said. Imagine what the musician rises to the stage ready to live, if he also naturally appreciates respect for the lap.
