Word of echo
The word, the echo of thought on the lips.” This is what Ekaitz Goikoetxea says in the delicious book of aphorism The added value. Although we don't often realize, the echo of the mind can reach the edges of the mouth: from inside to outside. In the same collection of alphabetically arranged aphorisms, representing a certain set of recurring sounds, eighteen pages later appears: “The echo always fulfills the word.”
Indeed, the echoes of goods are heard aloud in an increasingly commercialised world. The use of the verb “sell” is also standardized in education, culture or art: “How do we sell this project?”; “Does not sell the speech well”; “We do not know how to sell ourselves”; etc. I have heard examples of this kind for years in the work environment and in friendships, in the most official institutions and in the most alternative movements.
And for many times lazy, I still feel the dots of buying in the ears. Even in the realm of imagining the world together and changing it if you like, the word seems to be full of echoes. And action.
