I dreamed that the peri-urban area of the cities was a city bor full of activities and people. Along with the gardens that will feed the city, the infrastructure of all kinds that the city needs was located. There were workshops to recover electronic devices generated in the city, a place where many metals and resources are acquired today insufficient. Like the mines of the city, where the effort of many white gown people was aimed at the recovery of the devices and objects that are discarded, crumbling pieces and elements, devoting each of them. Although in my dream I did not have the opportunity to make an urban reflection, it can be thought that, together with the possibility of creating many jobs in the peri-urban area, perhaps by becoming the workplace of many citizens, the possibility of drastically reducing the need for the car was to be opened, causing the periurban regeneration to have a positive impact on the functioning of the city.
He paid attention to me in the dream, in addition to the movements of activity and the multitude, the beauty of the place, the pleasure of passing and the architecture that are dressed with good examples of buildings and infrastructure environments and workplaces. The dream of a careful peri-urban was amazing, far from reality.
Peri-urban is the part of the territory that surrounds the city center, an area that serves the city. But although it is essential, it does not keep the respect of the city, nor has anything to do with its careful organization and image that it likes so much. It is part B of the city, “the other”, like the subsoil of the city, but visible to everyone. It carries out very important tasks, power plants, generalist warehouses to supply the city of products and food, water treatment, waste collection… And surely the city will become a strategic place for the management of the industry, food and energy of the future. I've dreamed of an energy transition place.
