From humor to humor
I have given a lot of thought to this collaboration, which will be my last. All these years I come back to these lines with themes, concerns, proposals, petitions… The truth is that many things have been mentioned on these pages, but few of them have undergone changes or progress in recent decades. Everything remains the same since the European audiovisual law forced television to invest between 5% and 6% of its budgets in order to boost local independent production. But, as film production grew, television has dropped considerably, almost to disappear. In order not to cry again, I decided to take the theme of humor. In short, most of what I've done at ETB has been done in the field of humor.

The fashions, the streaks, seem to be times. Now you're on top, but you're not always going to be there, when you don't expect it, you go to the hole and you're on the ground at the same point you left. They say it's barbaric. They say so by trying to comfort them. Our best time began in the 1990s and reached until mid-2000s. Preceded by Piter Ansorena and Xabier Otaegi (Function), Elena Irureta and Aizpea Goenaga (Hau da A.U., Benita ta Marini). The place they left us was occupied by the team led by Carlos Zabala and I (Bi eta bat, Jaun ta Jab, Martin…). Next to us and taking over came Anjel Alkain and the troop of Wazemank. We cannot forget the participants of Sorginen laratza together with Alkain. The only survivor of these comedians has been Pagadi. Who knows where others walk by taking the latter? And to close the list we have a team led by Aitziber Garmendia and Jon Plazaola (Risa Libre).
Of course names are missing, but that would be the 40-year timeline. Remove each other. As if we were told: “Well, the young, we were like that, your turn is over. You don't think you're going to spend your whole life on this, right?" However, some of those who told us that are there, while others fall down.
We will inevitably have to take it with humor. But it's not easy to take with humor when you're marginalized. Especially when you still feel able to do so. Now, in addition, we have 40 years of accumulated experience.
It will be vitalist, yes, but we have vice. And although we're not far away, we haven't retired yet. If someone needed a writer or a director, I mean.
