Sustainable
Long ago, I saw at the door of a college flags that said “sustainable schools.” I started laughing, and I thought to myself. “How lucky are the children of this school, because the classes are not entirely boring, they will take them well.” Of course, I know that what was announced had nothing to do with the heaviness of the teachers and the issues, was an initiative to protect the planet.
Today, in addition to schools, everything is sustainable. Essential adjective in any project. But holding is suffering and is always related to tolerance: “Okay, well, we're going to take it by default.” When they talk about sustainability, they are about another concept; that we have to keep what we have in order for it to last, so that they don't spoil us anymore. Key verbs have been maintained and maintained.
And as Silvio Rodríguez sings, tolerance is the passion of the inquisitors. Does not the concept of sustainability have more of green cleaning than sustainability? Have we invented ourselves in Basque without wanting to?
We can make all sustainable! Time is running out.
