I've been to Twitter Analytics, among the events I tweeted last year. In these twelve months, among the outstanding awards, every month there has appeared some other about the difficulties we Basques have to try to live in Basque (well, in March not, the stars were the dismissal of the house of Ategorrieta and the housing problem that has accentuated Eneko Goia). Except in one case, the difficulties mentioned in tweets were due to the Basque institutions: Superior Court (2), Shops (4), City Hall of San Sebastian (6) and Basque Government (7; Osakidetza, Ertzaintza, Education, EITB). That is, and as a sign of its value, many Vascophiles feel that our institutions are one of the main barriers that the Basques and Basques have to live in Euskera.

That is why I found it surprising that Euskara Aurrera, among the examples of oppression towards the Basque people exposed to argue the need for mobilisation, talked mainly about the exclusion and persecution of the French State, the Navarre institutions and the High Court of Justice of the Basque Country, and that the CAV institutions were mentioned only indirectly, and it is clear that I am not aware of this initiative. I can understand that we wanted to attract all of us who wanted Euskera to move forward, and think that if things were said too raw, some might not feel comfortable.
But the current situation of the Basque Country in the CAV is also a consequence of the political decisions, successes and errors of the forty years. On one occasion I have said that I can understand that in the first years of institutionalization it has been slower in the recovery of the Basque Country, but I do not share the programmed slowdown that has occurred in recent years. With the largest number of Euskaldunes of all time, it is not possible to understand how the regulation does not have a more effective development, how the institutions do not join the era, how guaranteeing the rights of the Basques remains a matter for the future. The Basque and the Basques must move forward, and we will do so, even if we have to go beyond the obstacles and the political leaders who offer excuses and empty words.
