Like every year, the month of June, the rest of the course, the time to leave the students, and every year I want to highlight something positive, with good taste. And I had time, for years, to write beautiful lots here about the work of the Basque culture, the achievements of the students, those small and fundamental miracles that take place.

I recognize, however, that I have searched for these elements, the argument of filming and violating, sometimes giving a quoted emphasis, finding the weirdest word to congratulate a student's Euskaldunization, choosing the adjective of embellishing professional achievement, working the right metaphor to emphasize that we have destiny. Because we are impolite and indestructible, with a kick and a hug on the contrary. I have rarely eaten mentirites for the Basque to shine a little more.

This year, the data on the measurement of the use of Euskera in the street was published in a shameful manner, and two days later the students asked me, with calibre, when and where to do it in Euskera, where I have plans, how to do not lose my language, what the future is for them. And I have only got a few words right. Or yes, “learn the work or the Basque couple”: a grim joke. I sometimes wonder whether the truth should be told, that there is no talk here in Basque, that there is no language policy, no commitment, no investment, no obligations, no sanctions, but too much will, many speeches. We're not in it. That here the Spanish policy continues, even if it is the task and profession of more and more people. What's more, the only ones, always the same ones, we bring it into poverty. I went through my head and fell silent, because I know that optimistic speeches are needed, that otherwise it is directed at the underlying race and that, as it could not otherwise be, it is better to keep quiet.

I was already there. And then what? After all, of course, they are not worthy of mention. It's been a century since usage dropped. There are at least 25 years low and brebeta that cannot pass in Basque. Half a century denying the institutional knowledge of Euskera. It undertakes to develop Euskera in public services for approximately twenty years and that five years had already been written in the College’s projects pending the next day. There has been a public language policy for seventeen years. Eight decades of awareness and campaign. The implementation of the language profiling system in the world of work has been called for fifteen years. I have been working for 25 years and my prize has risen exactly EUR 500. For ten years, homeless, young generations have said yes, that they know and that they will: that we know that outside the ikastola everyone will speak in Spanish. And others. If you align the duration of all these years, one by the other, you can cover a distance of about a thousand light years. Black filling sky. Why compose the opposite? Strengths and initiatives, measures and works, intentions and money, because of their few consequences, as fundamental resources and decisions are not addressed massively.

When I was going to write that, miserably, my son took me out of school bag with a blank envelope, which bore my name trotted with uppercase and cold letters and syringes.
