In the war in Ukraine there are three autonomous conflicts connecting together, it's like a matrimony with three dolls. The first, the smallest, is that of the Ukrainians. While some see the Ukraine as a form of belonging to Eastern fraternity, others identify it as a Central European nationality vis-à-vis Asian Russia. Some sought refuge in Moscow, others in Washington. As their allies are stronger, among other things, they were able to give a coup and start a war in Donbass.
The second stump is the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which internalizes and distorts the former. Russia fears the spread of NATO and believes that Ukraine has handed over its house keys to Washington. He has armed Russian nationalism, which thinks in its most extreme version that the Ukrainian nation does not exist (sic). The moderate variety, on the contrary, argues that the Ukrainian nation should be under the influence of the Russian older sister, including those who believe that the state of Ukraine should be less than the present one. Finally, since the various peace agreements signed in Ukraine have not been complied with, this frustration has led to the annexation of Crimea, Moscow’s support for the secessionist republics and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
"America needs new blood to confront China, so Brussels Washington is doing one of the biggest transfusions of wealth in history."
The third, the largest and the remaining two, concentrating all the leading role, is the international hegemonic struggle. The global North accelerated the fight against the global South following the 2008 crisis. In this fight, EE.UU. must unite the EU in the short term, so Washington has been enthusiastically fuelling the conflict in Ukraine from the outset. Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Defense of the EE.UU, has said that they want a long war to defeat Russia at the expense of the Ukrainians; maintaining the fire of the conflict on is NATO and keeping the EU anchored in the interests of Washington.
In 2019, the report published by the RAND Foundation, which works for the Pentagon, pointed to the need to paranoia Russia with military exercises around it, with Belarus chess, increasing tension in Central Asia and discrediting and persecuting Russia. They wanted to provoke Moscow to give a violent response on the scene of Ukraine, using as an excuse to carry out a delegated war against it, and to carry out the largest and most violent attack and economic war ever seen. The West has taken measures that were proposed in the report, but the global North has remained only because the South and East have not supported these measures. Moreover, Russia has begun to articulate responses with its allies and its economy has resisted better than expected.
The United States needs new blood to confront China, so Brussels Washington is doing one of the largest transfusions of wealth in history. The increase in military spending by NATO countries is being transferred to the American arms industry. Instead of Russian gas, EE.UU sells Europe its much more expensive, reinforcing the increase in energy prices. Consequently, inflation is torn apart, the euro sinks, and European industry will lose competitiveness on international markets, especially for the benefit of American companies and the EU’s poor. Unfortunately, all this is no surprise: once again the EU is unable to defend its interests before Washington.
