Rain tears and life rushes
Crusts are malignant with nails. However, not all pains are wounded, and observing them, and perhaps palpating them, we can better understand where they come from. The poem Mina hartu (Susa, 2022) that has just been published by Juan Luis Zabala (Azkoitia, 1963) can also help us. Zabala's hobby of cycling also works as an allegory of writing, and it seems that this work, after a long literary career, is an attempt to be placed in the current literary panorama. Before leading the race, the poet prefers to reach the goal without having to teach anyone: “Now, at best, when writing / I feel like Juan Luis Zabala”.
