Metal in its most significant weight and sense
The Mutriku quartet has faced the dark era of the pandemic and has returned with firm work, team changes and crowdfunding (aupa vosotras!). with this second long, round disc worked.
Saia Goait was created in 2017 by a group of friends and friends from other groups (Keike, Kraussk, Karenka…) who, after meeting, testing, enjoying and experimenting, published a long work of the same name in 2019. This album showed that speed and rabies are two of the keys to their songs, but also that, although always in the field of hard rock, they do not want to align to a certain style.
Later – what a remedy – they had to suspend the concerts and started preparing their new album at home. This work has been stopped in the AEM studies of Mutriku, in collaboration with Axular Arizmendi. The group has made a leap forward in sound, giving a more elaborate and firm result, even in uncomfortable, rigorous and self-critical words, how not?
The group continues at speed, but the songs are more raw and blunt, as the result is more metallic, heavier. More direct. Beñat sings higher and more loose, comfortably in different records and the group is compacted. At the same time, the melody is also very present; also under thunder are moments like these, which are monitored. Lamazada is a potent rock salad, which may contain traces of melodies from Kuraia and Governors, but sometimes Pantera is imposed, dire voice! Lubakian, from the rock school and stoner of the 90s, although he is also very melodic. Zyanid heavya, which emerges irreverently and also combines the imaginative word-rock. Almost untouchable border between heavy deformity and stoner. The forgotten will be exalted by the heavy weight of metal. It's a metal rock from the '90s capable of driving away until noise hurts them. Powerful and penetrating Eternal Balada. And finally, another fastidious piece like the sympathy and strength of the garlands that brings me to the Homonymous car.
