How have you become a Basque humorous reference?

When I was on the radio I had a worm inside. Yes, because we are not actors. That is very clear to us. We do monologues, and that may not have been the case. In the Basque Country, many plays have emerged in the form of humor. There is also a lot of level and it is a pleasure! But we do something else. Ours is not theater, because I repeat: we are not actors. It's different. We wanted something to be worthy. Adaptable to small and large format. With the first creation we did about 150 sessions, and with this we also walked along the same path as the Long or Short. We are very happy.

How did the public welcome you?

Very good in general. Some may feel uncomfortable. Humor also changes from one people to another. There are issues where people are not allowed to laugh. With today's monologue, we started vigorously. Sex, masturbation, menopause… For some it is not comfortable, but for others it is. They also told us it was time. And the truth. Let us take these issues on the table that have been in the shadow and, in addition to reflecting, let us laugh! Laugh together. We have not invented anything, they are everyday issues. The question is why for some it's uncomfortable, why it's curious to take these issues onstage.

We are two women, and that is why there are only those who believe that it is an action prepared for them. We are programmed from the Gender departments. However, a humorist man is programmed from Cultura.Ahi there is a lot of difference. When you see two women on the poster, you think it's for women, and we're convinced that when we see a man, it's for the general public. That is what we want to break. We know that whoever comes will be fine, we thought, “But if there were more people?” Because it has often happened to us that there are only women.

Have you thought of taking a solo road? Or another couple?

Not yet. It's true that we take other jobs, but what's created on the stage between Idoia and I is magic. We had a great time together, and that comes to the audience. Together we spend more time than anyone else and we have a lot of chemistry. But I don't have doors to anything new. If we lived on this alone, it would be something else. But for us this is a complement that we do very well. We don't say no. We had 25 sessions in December! It's crazy.

Has it happened to you that you can't hold laughter?

Yes, many times. Ours is not a closed action. We have the script, but it changes shape at all times. On stage, we make a lot of decisions. When you see that people respond, it surprises you, and after all, you also laugh until it explodes. Sometimes Idoia throws something that I don't expect and I can't keep laughter. Saying “forgive,” laughing and moving forward.

I've also been infected by the public. I think you don't have to stop laughter. It's very beautiful! What is created at that time must be released without interruption.

When has it been authorised to become a humorist?
