Life
Like so many others, we went to the demonstration called in Bilbao against the passing of COVID-19. I was very happy to see how many people there were in her of different ages, colors, dresses and languages, and I found among them friends of battles from the university or renowned peasants.
In the rural world, the control of the administrations over people and the territory is less, we are used to solving the problems that arise from us instead of demanding us. Perhaps that is why we live far more flexibly and remotely the measures resulting from the pandemic.
In organic farming, we do not want for ourselves what we do not want for our plants and animals. It is therefore normal for us to be suspicious of genetically adapted vaccines and to find so many farmers demonstrating.
Children have also been the protagonists of the call. As a result of the hesitations generated by the vaccination of children, the hardness of school protocols and the pressures and violent situations that families are suffering.
"We hadn't known any of that, and what's going on is hard to understand. We don't know where the interests are and it's not easy to predict the life changes of the future."
In our case, we don't have television at home, but seeing the tone the media took at the beginning of the pandemic, we decided to turn off the radio not only for music, but for the rest. I think it was one of the best measures taken for our health.
We have always been critical of the powerful and have remained critical over these two years. From the beginning of Pandemic we felt that the measures, prohibitions and advice of the authorities were good for them, but we were not as clear as they were best for us. That is why we have always acted with our common sense. When the vegetable garden was banned, we have breathed clean air whenever we have been able and have gone to Iparralde and Navarre as our country, even if the limits have been closed.
The debate has been banned and it has not been allowed to speak comfortably on the subject; we have all wanted to rape ourselves by walking in one direction. In this situation I have tried to walk my way and to circumvent measures as silently as possible, until the rights cuts of the COVID-19 pass have led me to protest.
We hadn't met any of that, and what's going on is hard to understand. We do not know where the interests are and it is not easy to foresee the life changes of the future. But Life has allowed us to open critical voices in the silence of most parties, unions and agents, and not feel alone. It is not a little and we are not that little, we will see what it is going to give.
