I had the opportunity to hear some of the speech by Amaia Fernandez, a parliamentarian of Vox in the Basque Parliament, at the last plenary session. As you may think, only the lie was heard of the part that lives in the lie. Despite what the subject is, so far we could talk about the old ones.

But the issue was the Basque. And in the speech against Euskera there is a particularity. It's not just Vox.

The discourse of Amaia Fernández de Vox in 2021 is the same as that of Idoia Mendia of the PSE in 2016.

According to these two leaders, Euskera discriminates because in order to be a civil servant it is necessary to know Euskera. I'm not going to start arguing against that lie. I did it in 2016.

Another thing that worries me is that the Socialist Party has not changed its position. Note, at this last plenary session, on 7 October 2021, the socialist parliamentarian Alonso spoke about the Basque Country and, in the same introduction, first of all, made reference to ETA. Furthermore, the PSE said few new things in plenary. He's worried because there's more unemployed among those who don't know Euskera than bilingual people. But it does not make concrete proposals. For example, the abolition of model A and the abolition of the current restrictions imposed by the Government on the supply of Basque in vocational training. None.

But it has a concrete proposal: "It is necessary to adapt the knowledge of the Basque people of the Administration to the socio-linguistic reality of each region of the Basque Country". It's like it's not done. Does the PSE really not know that this is the case? Do you not know that the mandatory dates of the linguistic profiles of the administrations are set according to the percentage of bilingual persons within the scope of the administration?

For my part, I have said many times: I am willing to give up my legal right to speak in Basque with the administration (total... the "right to what, if there is no way" is still too often fulfilled) if, in return, those who oppose generalising the knowledge of the Basque Country accept that it will be taught in all the schools of the CAV, so that the students leave "enough to actually use the two official languages".

That is to say, to comply with what is stated in the law voted by the Socialists 39 years ago.

To do this, it is necessary a model of immersion in the school and a joint interinstitutional work outside the school so that the organized leisure of the young people is offered mainly in Basque.
