The book I'm going to present to you today is a special book. I haven't seen it in a lot of bookstores. I found him on a visit to the catacra because he had no news of his own. Maybe he's the editor of the Hernani City Hall / Equality Area. And often these books have a shorter path. It's a pity, because although for me it was unknown, the story is interesting.
The book begins in an initiative of a group of women from Hernani, with the objective of honoring and valuing the contributions and struggles of the women of the people. In this initiative, a proposal was accepted to explain the life of the protagonist of the book, Empar Pineda Erdozia.
The book is the result of Kattalin Miner's interview with Pineda. In short, a biography of the Empar Pineda Erdozia. But far from being a mere biography, they give it a collective dimension between the two. And that is that Miner and Pineda are feminist Hernaniarchs militants.
Based on a conversation, we're not going to read the questions and answers. Miner tells us the details of the interview in the first person. Pineda's answers will sometimes be in the first person in quotation marks. On other occasions, the author tells us indirectly. This gives a tone closer to the text, as Miner interjects reflections related to his experiences and memories. It shows the emotion and admiration of the answers. You can see that you talked about the front lines.
For me, the protagonist was unknown. Active, safe and brave woman. Known lesbian of the time and dedicated to defending the right to abortion. It deals with various organisations, movements and mergers. It's his story, but there's also something in the book from a more general story.
It seems to me a particularly interesting exercise to make a genealogy of our own women in the current Basque Country. We've been committed to doing political genealogy, leaving women in general but feminists in particular in most books. To this end, the book Dec genealogia feministak is an exhaustive book that gathers the chronicle of the feminist movement.
The book written by Miner is composed of a few photographs and illustrations. But the only thing is that it's short. I would gladly continue reading about this woman.
