Musicians in the bullring
To deal with the drought of the land and culture of the month of August, the month of September begins to rain and with it comes the documentary announcement of the Belako group. The autocinema performed in the years of the 2020 pandemic was recorded on tour and will be premiered at the San Sebastian Film Festival this year. The Mungia quartet has been able to adapt since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and, as we will see in the documentary, has continued to do its best in live concerts, albeit with specific measures. Proof of this is the concert dedicated to the “non-parties” of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The dynamic Living Culture is a proposal to give a small solution to the nightmare that the cultural industry is suffering. The Iradier Arena in Vitoria-Gasteiz has organised a series of activities to enjoy the culture safely and consciously for five months. Among others, ZOO, Izaro, The Baboon Show, Ene Kantak, Tremendous da Jauria, and on August 7 Belako and Niña Coyote and Chico Tornado rose to the table.
The tablado is located in a plaza that has almost never existed a bull, and the one that should be a multipurpose building has hardly been used in recent years. The advent of the pandemic has forced several cultural actors to join together to use a space managed with public money. Conditions had to be adapted to events, but wanting everything has led to nothing in the end. Heat and sound are some of the main side damage to concerts, and we should not forget that we are talking about a modern and new building.
Girl Coyote and Chico Tornado inaugurate the day of the festivities of Celedón. The force transmitted and mutual understanding have calmed the environment, although the spectator's backyards have not been lifted. After the last song dedicated to Belaco, the young quartet enters the stage and starts with the punk rock songs of the album Plastic Drama released in 2020, but soon the Whales with Sur appear, known songs as Hamen and Render me numb.
Night darkness has been introduced through the transparent crystals of the square for multiple uses. The white shirt XL, black twins and red lips of singer Cris have been in charge of directing today's special concert. This year’s “non-parties” have been different, but at least we have had a small opportunity to enjoy a cultural offer that was not last year, to see if the following year we can dance standing and without fear.
