And, like almost everything we do with children, each of these journeys has been an exercise of nostalgia. Because for those under the age of 40, there have always been hypermarkets. From early childhood. In our case, Pryca de Oiartzun. How many things we would know, how many things we would have lived there, how many bomb ads, for example. The truth is that I do not know why – in short, it is not difficult to intuit – because they consider an ideal landscape to speak of human condition, a world where happiness relates to the purchase of things, full of dreams, desires, excesses, a party. It is true that they then drive comfort, submission, social disappointment of the consumer, who are the embodiment of sugary neoliberal capitalism. But it is also true that, over the years, other consumption habits have become entrenched, and neither have I been reduced to the attractiveness of these places and to the collective, subtle, special life that takes place in them. I would say that, in addition, behind the backs of hypermarkets, we will hardly know the current social reality. Before purchases made from home eliminate them, therefore, the reduction of ATMs, let us continue to enjoy hypermarkets.
