The study of polysystems shows us what they are, how they are organized, what resources they have to survive (sine qua non) and what happens to what becomes a subset of each of these polysystems. But if someone is made too abstract, it can be seen more transparent in the application: if you are today located in that parliamentary and constitutional Spanish monarchy (or if you are forced to do so) and act from that position, even if you want independence, in practice it will only reinforce the Spanish monarchy itself and the Spanish polysystem.

For the development of the Basque country we have no choice but to universalize and master the language of the own polysystem in its scope. This means that on the way we will have no choice but to unlearn Spanish. The same is true of French.
