Forbestar Sabin
In 2017, we read that the nationalist Sabino Arrieta was ranked second in the list of Euskadi’s wealthy in Forbes magazine. He has been Deputy Security Advisor to the Basque Government from 1984 to 1989. Sabino has already invested USD 17 million in Miami according to the US press and another EUR 40 million in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and München, according to the German press.
In 2020, Miami became the owner of a high-impact building after paying $12 million. It has not been mentioned in the Basque press since Tu. In 2017, through the Spanish press, we learned that he purchased another major building in Miami, after paying 5.2 million dollars. Near this building is the Atlantis building, icon of the Miami Vice series. This series featured a police officer of Basque origin.

In 2017 we got back to Sabino after selling a prime building in Bilbao for €6 million. But in 2016 it was made with a building in Düsseldorf in an operation of 6 million euros and in 2013 bought another one in Frankfurt for 7 million euros.
Sabino has maintained links with the PNV in recent years. In 2011 he became president of the Naturgitza Foundation. This foundation had links to the De Miguel case, and former Security Advisor Juan Mari Atutxa appears on his board. In 2013 he participated in the creation of the Agirre Lehendakaria Fundazioa Foundation.
Sabino left the Basque Government and started as an entrepreneur, becoming the owner of the companies Laura S.A. and Vinilika S.A. These companies received subsidies from the Basque Government. We are talking about the subsidies of the 3-R Plan, a plan led by Industry Advisor Jon Azua. Years later, the Court of Auditors revealed the irregularities in these subsidies. The 3-R Plan also focused on the companies of the rich Joseba Grajales. Currently they are the Grajales and Azua partners in a healthcare company called Keralty. Former Health Advisor Jon Darpón started working in Keralty after resigning.
He was president of Sabino Sidenor, having paid EUR 13 million in 1995. Ten years later, Sabino sold the company to the Brazilian group Sidenor Gerdau and won 445 million euros. As President of Sidenor, in 2003 he bought the land of the company Cylinders Bolueta for 60,000 euros, winning 20 million in this stalemate.
