I have just read to Layla Martínez that Utopia is not an island in the essay: “Dystopias reflect our collective yearnings in the cultural realm of post-modernity. Unlike what happens in modernity, we no longer believe that the future is linked to progress and is necessarily better. It has become something that brings us fear and anxiety, so we launch creatives who warn us of the dangers that are expected in the near future. It’s logical, but also destructive.” And then the phrase that has stung at me over time: “Creative works reflect reality, but in doing so they produce reality in turn. Imagining worse futures has taken away the ability to think about a better future.” Once read, I have been interwoven with some passages heard, read, lived and learned at the beginning of the year. In the context of the conference organized by the Empty Plaza on the resuscitation of the Basque Country, in the section Cultural Impulse for the recreation of the popular story, Garbiñe Ubeda denounced the lack of a collective dream, that the sense of the people is not on the street, that we do not breathe, that we lack a dream as a people and believe that we lack that dream
"It seems to me that this pandemic we live in is the perfect time in the history of Euskal Herria to create new realities"
That bellows are the creators, but that creators are incapable. In his opinion article, signed by Iratxe Esnaola and Urko Aiartza, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the death of Telesforo Monzón, Monzón stated that “Euskera and culture were the axis and heart of our nation, lost, and that, therefore, no independence would make sense”. I recalled that in 2019, as part of the Ikusi Arte tour of Berri Txarrak, in Kobetamendi, Bilbao, we gathered 20,000 people to attend the performance of a music group that sings in Euskera and the previous festival. And I recalled that we made a great effort to organize ourselves in Sadar, Anoeta, Mendizorroza and San Mamés, because we firmly believe that we would be able to bring together more than 20,000 people in the framework of a great celebration of culture vasca.Si we would have responded to reality, we would not have gathered 22,000 people in Nafarroa Arena on 22 and 23 November 2019. But we did, we created reality, thanks to the immense effort of a huge team of work that we believed in our capabilities, of a people that responds generously if you propose. The Aiaraldea Factorship of Actions, following what seemed utopian, without adhering to reality, creating a new reality, will open its doors in April in Laudio Faktoria Kultur Plaza, the factory to build transformative projects that are structured in Basque in all areas of life. And it seems to me that this pandemic we live in is the perfect moment in the history of Euskal Herria to create new realities, to take a look at the utopias we have made and to list those we can carry out. I'm going to do that. Until soon.

With the words of poet Vicent Andrés Estellés, I am one among so many cases, and not an isolated, rare or extraordinary case. Unfortunately, no. Among so many, one. In particular, according to the Council of Europe, and among other major institutions such as Save The Children,... [+]
The housing problem is a structural problem that comes from far away. What should be a human right is nothing more than a subjective right. I say that it is a fraud because, although all the institutions and all the political parties say nice words, they do not grasp the... [+]

We have been hearing the views of Iñigo Errejón on the accusations of male violence in all media and social media for a few weeks. In addition, many controversies are emerging: how we should denounce women, how our sexual relations should be, recognition, silences of those who... [+]
There are those who say that elections serve only to give legal status to political decisions. And there are not very many who think that way. Okay, but with that, a lot of things are said, among other things, that real power, power, is out of that game.
But, in my view,... [+]
A father from Bilbao has asked me about the secondary education protocol being developed at the AMPA around mobiles.
As I read on the website of the Basque Government, in January 2024 there was talk in schools about the regulation of mobiles, that there will be no prohibition... [+]
Sometimes you make a blessing, and say where you had to say it, for sure, and when you're done, you want to cry loudly. When everything was over, with the affection of the luggage, he gave you a long hug as if he were holding you.

Five decades later, we seem to be leaving behind the Washington Consensus. The climate crisis and, above all, the rise of China have reinvented the interest in leadership and the active participation that the country should have in the economy. The former austerity managers,... [+]
Following the complaint against Iñigo Errejón for machista violence, it seems that some have realised that in parties, unions and leftist institutions, women are not free to receive violence from affiliated men. In addition, it has become clear that in these situations some... [+]
Two years ago Urdaibai Guggenheim Stop! Since the creation of the popular platform, Urdaibai is not for sale! We hear the chorus everywhere. On 19 October we met thousands of people in Gernika to reject this project and, in my opinion, there are three main reasons for opposing... [+]
