And this and then what?
I have the feeling that I am going to take the road ahead. That the ones I'm going to write today I wrote long ago and that I'm losing. But, I insist, I'm here. This damn pandemic has shown what some of us have known for a long time. But my question is whether it's going to work for something. The day after day has been so serious that we are still covering the holes of the road. But I'm clear on top of the dirty ass, even if we try to clean it, if we put the same pants we won't solve nada.Se they need new ideas and new measures. One word has been through the mouth and goes: vulnerability. And it's become clear that our area bears that last name. I'm not going to start listing the consequences of that vulnerability, because the article is going to go there. But the wound won't be solved with a bandage, that's clear. And so far we're spending liters of Betadinea, but what for? Will we learn to draw conclusions from all this? Will we be able to correct what was previously wrong? Will there be a willingness on the part of our authorities to do so? There's a show for now.

Before all this, the Statute of the Indigenous Artist was on the table. But this was nothing more than a dead letter, proposals to be developed. It had mainly two branches: Taxation and Social Security. I am clear that the staff of the Department of Culture are working and doing everything possible, but there is always some excuse. Either “it is the responsibility of the three Haciendas we have”, or “of Lanbide or the Government of Spain”. Easy sharing of responsibilities when doing nothing. And perhaps most importantly, how are we going to measure the times to do what needs to be done? Months, years, decades? And in the meantime will our situation remain the same, when we know what the unbearable situations it has produced are? Are we going to keep them?
It is clear that one of the keys is Social Security. But what's the strategy? Wait for competition? Are we aware that it will be the last one we will receive? I would opt to reflect on the materialization of the model and to look for a model of its own with regard to the competence of the penitentiary centers. Well, let's start looking at what model of Social Security we want. And the treatment artists will have. It exists and where to look in Europe itself. Let us not wait until we have the capacity, because we are already late.
