The Iraqi entrepreneur Jaime Rodríguez Salis, who we would say now, has just died: Impeller of the Roman museum Oiasso, or founder of the winery Remellu, has offered me so many moments of happiness – especially with the latter, oh, mama; and that is to say a lot, for a rosemary like me. José Salis, maternal grandfather, painter; the mother herself, Dolores, sculptora; and her father, Luis Rodríguez Gal, Luis de Uranzu, chronicler of the Bidasoa. In 2009, he published The Republican Child of Beraun. In Spanish, of course, like his neighbor, Carlos Blanco Aguinaga, who was almost on the street, “among our friends were Luis Salis, son of the mayor, and his cousin, Jaime Rodríguez Salis, who today is an important negotiator and then the most flirty boy of the crew”.
However, I would say that what is really worthwhile is the book of Dolores Salis, Exilios (1936-1945), about the time when he lived more than life, in his words “a vulgar and happy life”, from the War of 36 to the Second World War, which knows nothing of the normal. He began writing at the age of eighty, failed his sight, left the enamel he cultivated and in a large letter Olivetti. He wrote until almost his death in 1999, when three months were short to reach a hundred years: “Old age is annoying, but there is no need to be frightened. I have to walk quickly, which, with the inevitable calm acquired, seems to be more clearly seen in the past, the distant.”
Jaime Rodríguez Salis wrote that in his childhood Euskera was widely used in Irun. Dolores Salis knew that. Luis de Uranzu lost his childhood. What would it be if all of them had written in Basque, if all of them had been written in Basque? They say Jaime's sons dominate. If they were ever encouraged to write memory books, they could have an almost virgin territory ahead of them.

Since we were transferred to Euskal Herria from the prisons of the Spanish State, in the prison of Zaballa we have found many deficiencies in the field of communication. We have fewer and shorter face-to-face contacts, we have had to make visits to the speaker in poor technical... [+]
On August 26, I woke up as if it were a normal Monday, I rose from bed and, with my arms overflowing, I woke up. But as soon as I got to the hallway, I knew that that wasn't one of those monotonous, heartless Monday forever. I found my parents in front of the computer reading the... [+]
Kursk is a historic region of Russia. He lived in peace until 6 August, when the Ukrainian army entered the city. About 15,000 men entered. Hundreds of tanks, armoured vehicles, artillery pieces, air defense radars… the most modern weapons that exist today, brought from all... [+]
There are several people to study, including Elon Musk. The idea of freedom that they have seems to come from the need to control everything, to have all the power, because being all the power is easier to create business, there is no discussion; the hegemonic models grow with... [+]
I have few friends with a European feeling, I do not know whether Europeity becomes an identity. But when we travel to Europe, a friendship may emerge, because the main areas of territoriality that are taking place in Europe and in Europe are shared, where it is decided to... [+]
They have been completed, the means have been put in place and quite quickly. What a relief when everything was quiet! But the balance has been great and yet another terror has been piled up behind his eyes, because at some point they thought they might never return, or not at... [+]
Are baserritars on vacation? They ask in school. The students have answered no. So, working every day, would you like to be baserritarra in the future? And if nobody wants to be a baserritarra, who is going to make food for us? The question stayed in the air.
For the health and... [+]
The Assyrian and Babylonian students did not know the art of raising their hand. It took centuries, and maybe a few millennia, for a student at an Egyptian school, who wanted to ask him something, to try to raise his hand: the teacher who gave an explanation, and the student,... [+]
In these periods hyper accelerate and in these fluids the blunt responses offer us handles. It is easy in times of crisis to grasp such a premise and raise the flag. You need quick answers to understand everything that happens around you, which often leads us to look for the... [+]
Dear Mrs:
How about summer? I hope. On this occasion, I will go to the point, with your permission.
As you know, coming into the competitive logic of ultra-liberal markets, educational institutions must implement all kinds of "projects". You should know that many of them do not... [+]
It is often said that the summer season is a parenthesis in politics. Perhaps anyone who has a purely institutional view of politics thinks so, but the summer of this year, which is still about to end, has given us something to look at.
In the autonomous community of Araba,... [+]
It is not Christmas, however, there will soon be decorations in the big shops to announce it, or at least they say so. In the shop window “Zorionak! Claims like “Gabon ederra passes!” will be exposed everywhere. However, congratulations can be many: the lottery, bringing a... [+]
On May 17, five Euskaltzales of Ipar and Hego Euskal Herria performed an action coinciding with the call made by the students of the Bernat Etxepare lyceum to mobilize in favor of the Basque. On the wall of the Baiona Subprefecture, a message was sent to the authorities of the... [+]
