The Euskadi Orchestra continues to struggle with the difficulties of performing concert cycles with all kinds of adaptations: shorter concerts, two sessions a day, program changes...
The public is certainly grateful for all the efforts being made to keep the fertiliser cycle on time. In addition, the arrangements are a success. The program of the last compost concert had to be modified, as guest pianist Behzod Abduraimov was unable to travel to the Basque Country due to the pandemic. Therefore, instead of the first work programmed, in Mozart 41. They touched the Symphony, Jupiter. The truth is that it was a pity not to be able to enjoy a soloist from the category of the Uzbeco pianist, but it is true that Mozart’s interpretation was full of nuances and charm.
This symphony was the last of Mozart’s production and although we cannot say that the composer would investigate new avenues for this musical form, it is true that in classical symphony we can place Jupiter at the highest level for its perfect perfection. It is a work of triumphal, generous and solemn character, so it received the nickname of Jupiter, the supreme god of Roman mythology.
The Orchestra of the Basque Country, under the batute of Robert Treviño, was able to show many of the nuances that this work hides in a fresh and unadorned reading.
Complete the program the 3rd edition of Jan Sibelius. They touched the symphony. This work shares the tone with Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony, both written in Do Mayor. That is what gives them the aura of victory and optimism.
I confess that I really like Sibelius's music. It has not always been fully appreciated, because it departs to some extent from the parameters that dominated the Central European music of the time. But its great value lies in its uniqueness. Her music is unique, personal, very committed to her style, inseparable from her. And the third symphony is especially lovely. Even though its first symphony is savage and the second full of patenting, the third reflects great clarity that resembles the classical school in Vienna. The Euskadi Orchestra was the only instrument for Sibelius that was the orchestra itself. He was able to convey the clarity of ideas and the purity of sound, which the Finnish composer reflects in his transparent and careful works.

In Durango's Hitz bookstore, it occurred to me that the Saturraran opera deserved criticism. On the one hand, the response of Jose Julián Bakedano, the illusion of the words of Gaizka Olabarri from the bookstore, the illusion of Nekane Bereziartua, who for so many years has been... [+]
