Unearth what we were
In the last long it has touched us a sad life, to get angry, so much so that we have an antisocial future, of home, of work, that we didn't want to represent, and without rock and gambling roles. And we don't know when we can turn it around. Well, in a context like this, they have set up the excavator with the intention of rediscovering what we were five Alavese musicians who have neither experience nor prestige. They have nothing to lose!
He started writing songs of Txiki who had already worked in groups like Gatillazo and La Polla and then joined the writing of Gatillazo, member of Rockaina and Salvate Si Angelillo. Shortly afterwards came Buton (Gatillazo, Al Karajo), Mikel (Childrain, Vice-Presidents) and Pela (Obligas, Sumision City Blues, Marky Ramone…), each of them from their house, but fed up with the situation, wanting to put their grain and enrich the result.
Txiki's songs are based on the label punk rock of the Alavesa Plain – it cannot hide it – but the songs are joined by many more nuances, including hard rock and urban rock, which is known as a kaletarra. The Quintet has achieved a round sound.
So even though the adhesive riffs of the Alavesa plains and the punk of 1977 appear mostly in Mala música y Ceniza, there are also others: fuelles and punk rock more aggressive in songs like Chemistry, The Gas Factory and Corn. In the rest of the songs, the street touch predominates. Future and Old Friday Lies, Losing Vice has a great footprint from the 1980s, Against the ground is a ballad, The Queen of the Feast makes her wait her flame multiplies in hard rock, The excavator makes a special gesture to the workers who joined in rock-and-roll sticks and, finally, Different times joins several generations.
The album will be available at the end of January.
