Violations of human rights are one of the main points of interest of the Western media in international politics. The governments and leaders of the besieged countries are stigmatized by unconcealed moral superiority, interspersing Sirimiri and real-life, semi-real or false news basques.
The humanitarian approach has a lot of charitable logic, it aims to shake emotions, turning attention away from the causes of the problems and from the real ones responsible. This makes it clear who controls the agenda and the story. In fact, sterile humanitarian logic encourages American imperialism to justify attacks on sovereign states.
It is ironic to see how from the United States human rights lessons are given to different countries of the world that have a great media impact. Meanwhile, Washington has not become a priority news item, but continues to violate international laws and human rights with total impunity: Without the support of the UN by bombing, occupying or extending misery through economic sanctions. As if that were not enough, the United States carries out all the desired extrajudicial executions, the latest by Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
The secret work carried out by the secret services is now, in some cases, public on the orders of the President of the United States. In 2010, Trump followed the road and made a qualitative leap with the assassination of Souleimani: he killed a sovereign country general on a regular flight during a diplomatic mission, invited by the Iraqi Government and with a diplomatic passport. If they had killed the head of the US armed forces or the secretary of state, we would already be in open war.
The war against Iran is not new. In 1953, the CIA and MI6 (British Secret Services) struck a coup against the Iranian democratic government that wanted to regain control of oil. After the 1979 revolution, the Anglo-Saxon people resumed war on the Iranian sovereign to this day.
Trump has imposed on Iran the toughest sanctions a country has ever had to stifle its economy and help the riots against its government. Meanwhile, it seems that Souleimani’s assassination could be used by Trump to reinforce his image and obscure the impeachment process; at the same time, it can be a complacent movement for the U.S. militarist and imperialist sectors. On the contrary, Iran’s measured and limited response and Trump’s attitude have made it clear that they have no will for live war. Moreover, it may be a movement that the US President leaves Iraq in the future. It will now be more difficult because Iran has launched a commercial aircraft to the euro area. Tehran has scored the Goal of Grief on its own doorstep, after the death of 176 people on the spot.
However, with the accident, Iran has taught the United States a lesson. In 1988, an American vessel invading the Iranian Sea launched the commercial flight Iran Air 655 with a missile in Iranian airspace. The United States killed 290 passengers and George Bush said they would never apologize. Finally, in 1996, Washington paid compensation to the victims, but did not pay compensation for the loss of the plane and, to this day, it is still not officially asking for forgiveness.
