There is a lot of talk recently about cybercrime. According to the Ertzaintza, at least twenty-five cyber-crimes are committed in the CAV. Faced with the social alarm that has been generated, lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, has claimed that cybersecurity is a challenge for the future.
Basque companies are working hard to find support for counter-espionage and public institutions have taken steps to prevent alleged cyber-attacks. Aware of the economic benefit of data and the strength of the power of information, some “experts” have taken a step forward.
Former heads of the Ertzaintza and former Spanish military have created a counter-espionage business network that maintains relations with the Basque Cybersecurity Centre (CVE). These former military personnel come from special operations and intelligence units. The former commanders of the Ertzaintza have worked in the institutional and informatics security of the Basque Government. A former leader is related to the De Miguel case and another former leader has relations with the partner of an entrepreneur who was convicted of the Hiriko case.
They offer lectures and courses involving heads of the Private Security Unit of the Ertzaintza and the Central Intelligence Office of the Ertzaintza. This counter-espionage business has obtained contracts with Basque public institutions such as Osakidetza and the Ertzaintza.
The network was funded by several million people worldwide. These billionaires have a direct relationship with former Basque Government officials. This network of cybersecurity companies carried out counter-espionage work for Basque entrepreneurs with foreign interests.
The network has established former members of the security forces for Ibex 35 and Fortune-500 companies, as well as for other customers abroad, as reported by the Community Executive. Some clients are companies linked to the De Miguel case, a group of consultants of a former co-worker. They have also been in charge of the security of betting houses in the Basque Country.
This network also includes a drone company, which maintains contacts with two former leaders of the Mossos d'Esquadra. State security forces and bodies use the drones of this company to control police demonstrations and prosecutions.
In favour of the privileged few and against many ignorant, the Great Brother of the Basque Country is already in progress.

Today, the voices of women and children remain within a culture that delegitimizes their voices, silencing their experiences, within a system aimed at minimizing or ignoring their basic rights and needs. A media example of this problem is the case of Juana Rivas, but her story... [+]
