Lilach Hadany and Yossi Yovel, from Tel Aviv University, have just published the surprising result of their research: flowers hear bees fly. When you realize that bees dance around you, it brings sugar to your nectar in the flower and makes it sweeter. So these flowers will be more attractive to the bee.

One of the sessions was very simple: the flowers were “made to hear” the sound recording of bees. The accumulation of nectar sugar was enriched by up to 20%.
