Looking for new ways
A Tuti Plain is a group created in Soraluze in 2016, and although the meaning of the name does not indicate the character of the group, the name - Italian and English mix - shows a little what the group does. Even though rock sounds predominate in their songs, there are touches of pop, grunge, metal, rap and funky. In short, they mix different styles or music with strength, passion and vitality.
In fact, in the words of his colleagues, the group has been considered from the beginning as “a space for experimentation”. “The music you drink from different sources without being caught in a certain style. It is a group that has not yet defined sound, that is constantly looking for new paths.”
Messages are critical and, even if they seem negative, they also look positive. In the dark, they lean to look for light, at least some rays of light: “To lose or win, to live as you like; to follow the rays of light, to close the wounds” (Wounds), “It seems that everything is lost, is there no place in the shadow? The road makes me" (Under the shadow), “The hours have become days, for seconds we go crazy, let’s see rays of light so far” (Again).
The group consists of Ina Peñalba (guitar, voice), Joseba Mendizabal (guitar), Jondar Plata (bass) and Gotzon Elizburu (drums, choirs), among others. They are young and Gotzon has the most experience among them, as he has worked as a singer in the Junzai Txetxera group. Three years ago, they founded A Tuti Plain, and about a year and a half, the four members of today started playing together.
Walter Tuzzeo, sound technician, has been in charge of recording the songs in the Legarre study of Eibar. In addition, Walter himself has played the keyboards and made choirs in the recording sessions, Katxo (Opposite Pole) has sung the song Itzalaren mende and other colleagues have participated in the recording of choirs. Oier, Maitane and Idurre.
The group to Tuti Plain has worked for about a year in the preparation and recording of the songs, without performing a public performance, and the first session was held at the end of June in the Dabadaba Hall in Donostia. Since then, they have also played in the festivities of their people, and we hope that they will also play in other places.
