It is a book about friendship written and illustrated by Anabel Fernández Rey. It's a simple story, a story about the relationship between a child and a bear. The author, to better convey the message, has intentionally used the personified animal instead of two human beings.
The child asks the bear for help over and over again. “I don’t want to eat vegetables. Do you accompany me, triptych?”, “I can’t comb myself. You, as you see above, are you going to help me?” or “I want to walk very quickly. You, as you know how to push, are you going to help me?” and so we can see the child smiling, doing whatever he wins, and beside him a big and serious bear, to whom the child has told him, to whom he has asked. These are simple, smooth, pastry images. Without diverting attention to the details and landscape or aspects of the environment, it focuses on the action between the child and the bear and leads us as a viewer.
However, the relationship between the two protagonists changes at a given moment. The child has all his toys scattered across the ground when he's raising a bear with a more serious than serious face. In the following image, in which there
are no words that fill the two pages, the bear appears to us thinking, and from there it will be he who will ask for help from his “friend” over and over vez.Al, it is seen that friendship is a relationship between them, that they have to give to the two for the friend to be happy, that it is necessary to participate both and then yes, then the question mark that will not appear in the book.
We've mentioned that it's a simple story, in the use of images, in the text and in the argument that counts, but being simple has its deep message. It is easy for children to capture by the nature of the story and also by the changes that occur in the images of both protagonists; moreover, to better understand the message, it is essential to analyze the faces of the bear and the child, the gestures they make, the messages they transmit. The author successfully manages, through them, to convey a message about friendship. And for that, it is enough to compare the illustration that appears on the cover of the book with that of the end.
