Organisers will distribute the tent of local products in two areas: the first will function as a bar and the attendees will be able to taste food and drinks made from local products. The second space shall be in the form of a shop: Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase numerous Navarros products.
In total, more than 25 Navarre producers and companies will participate in the tent, many of them with organic products. What will be in the area? Wine, cider, juices, meat, preserves, cheeses, bread, sweets, sausages, oil, seasonal vegetables… “We will open the area on July 4 and all sanfermines will be open every day, from 8:00 in the morning until 23:00 in the evening,” said Isabel Pueyo, member of NNPEK.
The aim of the initiative is to make visible and value the products that are produced in Navarra, which have already been withdrawn. In fact, Pamplona receives many visitors during the Sanfermines, so the organizers consider it a great opportunity to publicize the wide range of local products. “The objective is to recognize the contribution of local producers and the philosophy of local production to sustainability and healthy eating, as well as to value the importance of these foods in the economy of Pamplona and Navarra,” the drivers point out.
“Because it is possible to enjoy the Sanfermines and, at the same time, consume organic food, giving a boost to local producers,” says the note released by NNPEK. Therefore, Pamplona will once again have the opportunity to eat in a festive, healthy and sustainable atmosphere, one more year.
