That the workshops, labels and ads of foreign clients are placed in English, as the client wants to see the product in the same place and know the ways of working, the installation, is easier to understand. However, when we went to visit companies in the Netherlands, Germany… the labels were in the local language, but we were doing so both in Spanish and in English.
I think we have no responsibility, attitude, reflection to take care of our own, to put it as a mark, and instead, too many complexes! Would we have the same reaction if these expressions were in Spanish and not in English? Do we feel taller, more Europeans … putting ourselves in English? Does it do us?
But the result is the same: to replace our own, our level 2, to keep our own, to hide it… It is our brand! On the contrary, the brand must be ours. From the Basque and the Basque!
