The old school in shape
Andoain and Tolosa were, above all, the Gipuzkoan municipalities that in the 1980s turned punk again. Punk's breakthrough explosion was added to speed and constructive-transformative consciousness. The System of Torture, Bap!, was the main sign of the birth of the Hardcore. Thirst, among other things, but there was more. Later, the Gaztetxe de Andoain fed this scene a lot, as for a long time they scheduled concerts of local and foreign groups.
In 1994, the members of the 30% who were trained in Andoain lived that harvest in the first person, being the second of the hardcore groups of Andoain that were part of the third generation. In the 1990s they managed to recover the illusion of the hardcore lovers of the old school and made a sleek mockup. Not only that, we already saw it on many occasions sharing stage with the group El Corazón del Sapo.
The band was dissolved and, although they have met from time to time, they have recently recorded all their singers in a box and have released the next CD with the help of Artza Records. We do not know how many concerts they will offer, but on 12 and 13 July they will be in the Gaztetxes of Zorroza (Bilbao) and Andoain, respectively, along with Poison Idea and 25th Coming Fire.
Removing laziness and recording during a performance in the study of the farmhouse, this hardcore-punk sample of the old school has been digitally introduced – it was time –: they have gathered eighteen songs, most in Basque and some in Spanish. Based on hardcore with the Andoain label, more punk, darker or more melodic, but always with the shoe well pressed. And I've been glad to listen again to The Comfortable Hell, Whatever you want, Drowned in a water forest, I go down the street, License to enjoy or License to enjoy or When Eulia crosses the glass, the instrument with the characteristic guitar riff, all of them round and moving songs. In addition, with the help of 25th Coming Fire members have also given us the piece Mina egiten dit azu.
