Travel notes
Postal Kolekcionista, by Tolosa, is a new group that was born about a year ago. Iñigo Asensio (voice, guitar, accordion), Ander Zubilwaukee (guitar), Juanjo Falcon (bass), Irene López (keyboard) and Michel Lonaron (drums) participate in the project. They form a compact group in which you can see that they perform well by playing together and that they play in a good environment.
They are world-class musicians, with great experience, including Iker Lauroba, Izaro, Maider Zabalegi, Cesuma, Governors, Labrit, Manent, Imanol Larzabal, 21 Japanese and Duncan Dhu. This is the first time he plays in a group with the exception of Irene López.
Iñigo Asensio has been in charge of creating melodies and lyrics, and it can be said that songs are postcards for trips to over twenty villages in six years. They're pop-rock songs. It is possible to hear calm and strong passages, well shaped and showy, with nice melodies and with a lot of rhythm and color.
The songs show different places and situations, and when listening to them, there are sour and exciting moments. Feelings and emotions that can live in travel, but above all, loneliness, nostalgia, the desire to be close to your loved one: “I have written in my travel notebook next to your name the most beautiful words I told you at the last train station, and next to me I carry the loneliness, the soul inside the suitcase” (Last night in town), “I am a deep-rooted nomad looking for you” (Hourglass), “Let no one stop you on the return to any place, I love you” (Return), “In the days of time.
Laura Lizuma has been in charge of producing the album, Ander Zubilwaukee has been in charge of the production and in the recording sessions have been assisted by the following collaborators: Equipment: Xabier Zeberio, Markel Zeberio, Elene Arandia, Lide Hernando, Charlie Atkey, Iker Lauroba, Olatz Salvador, Leire Berasaluze, Elene Arandia, Jon Martin, Aitor Zorzano, Nicolas Andino and Beñat Larrauri. The public presentation of the album took place on 10 May in the Leidor de Tolosa room and in the coming weeks more concerts are planned
