She gave birth. Slightly flexed knees. He had his eyes like dishes in the dark. Melena peeled by sweat on the face. Whitish spots on the corners of the lips. The noise of deep breaths on the pauses and the intermittent belching of the bowels. The midwife on her knees and with her hands ready to welcome her so that the child does not fall to the ground. All of a sudden, a sharper cry. Fire in the vagina. “It’s already here.” From the leg to the mother's arms. A jet of blood running down the legs. Her muscles were shaking. Land of the second delivery room stained with blood, amniotic fluid and poop.
I am convinced that there is too much talk of pain and that we know nothing about the empowerment of respectful labor. And it's a pity, but it's certainly lame the system that conceives childbirth as necessary suffering without medical intervention.

In our society, childbirth hurts, in most cases. OK. Anyway, I say on purpose in our society, because it is unforgettable that emotional, cognitive and sociocultural situations condition the pain of half. That is, “you’re going to give birth to pain” wasn’t free. However, it is truly simplistic to believe that it can be summarized solely on the basis of the painful delivery experience. And it is not a matter of opinion, but of evidence: studies show that pain intensity is not the most significant factor in the satisfaction of the delivery experience, but personal control over the decisions taken during delivery is closely related to satisfaction. That is why, at least, if we address the mental experience of childbirth, we cannot fail to understand that the power of decision is that of the pregnant woman. Because normal delivery is not a pathological fact, but a sexual experience.
However, I sometimes doubt if we mix concepts. I worry every time childbirth takes the form of an ideological study. There's nothing proven in childbirth. It's not proof of access to motherhood. It is not a window of coherence. It's not a party. Childbirth is an emotional journey of unpredictable and unknown end, and oneself comes with his backpack to the point of departure.
In short, childbirth is a journey that must be addressed autonomously by the pregnant woman, of course accompanied, but only by her. And it is a midwife who abandons her own opinion and that the woman can carry out her task of building an environment of trust, free and secure. So, whatever you want and whatever you want, do what you can.

Through the Wallapop app, I sold some mediocre loudspeakers before the summer. Maybe the product description was a little swollen, it's true. The shopper put me three out of five stars. It was clearly not worth it.
The next week, I drove from Irun to Bilbao to a man of my age,... [+]
I was once in the burial of a friend's father. Our friend asked us to take a flower from the bouquets, if they wanted to. I can't say no to flowers, let alone roses, especially red flowers. So I took a beautiful red rose.
With the rose in my hand, I greeted the acquaintances of... [+]
Our towns and cities do not take care of us. We lack land, green areas, community spaces. Our people are designed to serve the capital. In the care village, however, life is the center.
Before, there was a main street, a gigantic street that crossed the city. Consumption and... [+]

I started to mentally write my article while I was in the car. I usually have the best ideas in the car while driving alone. I'm going to Bilbao, to the Arriaga theater. The Artedrama company is today staging the Miñan play. It's Friday, October 25.

The society in which we live is absolutely based on subordination. Over the centuries, our lives have been shaped according to it, and little by little the power of decision, freedom and sovereignty have been reduced. Sometimes they've taken us away with force, sometimes we've... [+]
What blew me a lot is the way some doctors talk to the patient. They talk to us about pain as if we were children. As I have had two kidney transplants, I know what I mean: among other things, I have had a tube inside my penis. Because of the anesthesia, I didn't feel how I got... [+]
