The magazine Faktoria of the Basque Country Irratia let us know what concerns American businessman Warren Buffett has in his head: “Twenty years ago in the United States two journalists were working for each press officer, but today there are six press officers for each journalist.”
The Press Officer is normally the person in charge of channelling information about an organisation. In other words, the information that interests to socialize the paying agency, once it has passed through the sieve of the interests of the objectives and has been measured in the recommended doses, is disseminated at the right time – often there are disproportionate economic and political interests. In this way, as it suits the organization, the journalist, accompanied by the inertia, can read the message he is going to disseminate in his environment. A little more “convenient” for the good.
Warren Buffett referred to institutions, but also to companies and political groups. Not only that, but in recent years, in the daily work of journalists, the press conferences without questions have become commonplace. No questions? That is not a press appearance, that is a rally!
The journalist is therefore given limited and one-way information. There are good journalists, but those of us who fall into stupidity also form a good platoon.
In the battle between the ASPE and BAIKO companies, dominant in the field of professional ball, something nice is happening: a lot of championships have been spent in the three major ASEGARCE championships and now those of BAIKO without winning any txapela.
As a result, curiosity devours me completely without knowing what has happened to get to this situation. Or why not? Perhaps at ASPE they have done an impressive job and now is the time to reap the fruits of that work. Oh my God!
Anyway, if you liked the curiosity, come straight to the pelotaris. Otherwise, for the press officer to act as a bridge with “his boys”, his doubts may be rust. After all, are they not for that? “Think about those responsible,” the press officials who tell us what we have to think about.
