Work of reading and representation
After a few years of paron, we have another play in our hands. In this sense, and only for that reason, it is a joy this new work by Alaitz Olaizola that has been published within the Antzoki Txikia collection of Erein. Olaizola is known in this field, as in this same collection it has several published works. In this sense, he is well aware of the details of these books that are read and represented.
At first, with the invaluable help of Manuel Ortega in the field of illustration, we are presented with synopsis and protagonists (five girls and boys from a school – well, one boy and four girls – and three extraterrestrials – who will later acquire the personality and the human appearance among us). Here are some of the elements needed for the representation, such as a plastic or tablets, before addressing the narrative, the story or the script of the work.
The author himself, in brief, explains briefly what the story of the book is: “Mikel is being bullied at school. Their suffering takes place in silence and in secret. But far from here, on a distant planet, they have been aware of the fact and have no intention of staying without doing anything.”
As you can see, Mikel, the only kid in this play, suffers harassment in school, and among those who are there, Amaia will be the only one who defends the boy. This situation, however, is not entirely clear and simple, since, like the leader among the aggressors, there are also those who are not completely calm and agree with their task. In this sense, the book serves to talk about bullying, to make it visible, to solve this scourge of our centers.
It goes without saying that the book can be read in a post, as it is a very vivid theatrical play, composed of interviews, with short stories and organized in nine short appearances. It should also be noted that the author proposes a very simple and quick way to change the scene from one appearance to another, and in this sense we are convinced that, as we have been able to enjoy reading this work, many others will enjoy the performance of Esne Beltza in which he interprets and sees the concert that ends with the song Nork ordena!, by Esne Beltza.
