Too dramatic to refer to the book The Subjects of Knowledge, I would begin this criticism by saying: “There is a spectrum in the plaza of the Basque letters.” Then I would decipher the mystery: “That spectrum is collective creation.” However, there is no need to make myself dramatic and perhaps some simple examples are enough to express what I mean.
The Mataza of Knowledge is a book created collectively by Emagine, but it is not the only one. There are, for example, Trans Sexualities of Bilgune Feminist. Anyone who thinks that the account ends in feminism will soon find the book written by the Gaztetxe de Vitoria-Gasteiz with the excuse of its anniversary. It is also wrong to try to limit the tendency to popular movements. There are, for example, the friends of the Red Bitch and the comic Tupust. And finally, this Light that you are reading does not have a director either because the responsibilities between the group have been shared.
Perhaps it is worth thinking that something is happening in the plaza de los letras vascas, and that within that, the matter of knowledge speaks from a differentiated position. Unlike others, Emagin’s text focuses on ways to build that collective knowledge. So it's not just about the collective, it's about the collective. Throughout the different chapters, the reader will look after the emancipation, the herrigintza, the concerns of the creators of the academy, the feminist methodology, the need to associate, the myth of absolute autonomy and the separation of experts and experts.
In addition to the entries and conclusions, the book consists of two main parts. In the section Los cabos de Mataza the reader takes the place of the witness. The text makes you feel involved in a working session of Emagine with ten other colleagues. The String Collection chapter contrasts these statements with four activist researchers. Here, too, the reader feels directly spectator in the construction of collective knowledge.
I've enjoyed reading the book. I think it's a unique opportunity to know where critical thinking is going and where it's going. And it's possible to respond to the call that the book makes and move from witness to participant.
