Vietnam War Does Not End
- Between 1961 and 1971, the United States launched 67 million liters of orange agents in Vietnam, destroying 20,000 square kilometers of forests and 2,000 square kilometers of farmland.
One of the agents’ substances, dioxin, also had harmful effects on humans: liver and surface problems, hormonal imbalances… But dioxin is a time bomb, as foetuses are aggravated.
Thus, at that time dioxin was breathed by 4.8 million Vietnamese, some areas are still contaminated and three generations later it does not seem that the influence of the orange agent will disappear. In the words of veteran Nguyen Van Phuc: “The United States, from generation to generation, will continue to kill Vietnamese.”
