Sweet, exciting moments
Ten years after the public recording of Awañak, the album dedicated to his recently deceased father, Petti has released a new live album, entitled The Children. He has sung only in some songs, with acoustic guitar, and in others with the musician Eneko Dorronsoro, who has sung live. They highlight the beautiful melodies and drawings that Eneko makes with the accordion, as they decorate and complete the songs.
Alone or with the Etxeko Uzta group, despite being Petti himself, his songs show a special atmosphere when he plays them alone or with the help of a single musician. Songs play the viewer differently. It's sweet, exciting moments.
The concert for the recording was held on October 20, 2018 in Bonberenea de Tolosa, as did Awaña with the album. At home, as he has played on many occasions in Bonberenea. He was at ease in the concert with the enthusiasm of the people. To finish the job, the technician Maikel has made the mixtures and mastering in the Mik study of Bera.
Fourteen songs can be heard on the record. Most of them are previously published songs, interpreted differently: Hotzikarak (2016), from her album Ez barkatzen, Ni naiz and Azken Aetza balada; Astirtitan (2014), Erramorik gabe, from Balada; Solo-Libre and Nude. In the Ranrober of the collection Imanol Urbieta (2013); in the Barrence Whitfield Colloquium of the album Solasaldia 2009; in the album On (2007) Xorieri minttó and in the album Oasia; in the album Reasaciones (2001) Dirdira hori; and in his first album Amebat (1999) Infereta. He also performed the song Pshikoburmuin he created at the beginning of his career.
Although we have known him for a long time, Petti always surprises us and fascinates us. He's great as a musician and as a singer. Your voice, your ability to play guitar, your personality. It acts from the inside, with passion, with strength or softness, according to the song or the moment it requires, with the skill and ease provided by the experience of years, and the result of all these are its songs with blues, rock and folk tints, related to the sauces of life: beautiful, exciting.
