The learning process is complex. Complex by the involvement of multiple agents, senses and feelings. It is not linear, as the results are not a mere sum of objects. It's also plural, because although we all have the ability to learn, our characteristics make the creation and the outcome very varied. And the acrobat. Also the acrobat, because thoughts jump from one field to another.
We recognize that the learning process cannot fit into a box, that despite the many stimuli that affect them they do not have to be the same, that each one has different ways of understanding things, that it is not possible to keep attention for a long time, that thoughts have cuts and jumps… So, in most areas of learning we consider formal, why do we not take these characteristics into account? Why set fictional limits? I believe that these attitudes are opposed to the learning process and are a control system for creation and for life.
In most cases, studies in formal education are mainly directed. A strict narrative is created around a theory, and the teachers focus on it, without taking anything or nothing out of the script, reducing the possibilities for development to the receiver. Thus, controlled spaces are created for institutions as well as for teachers and professors, and power relations are constructed that enhance the primacy of both entities. Professors the beacon of wisdom? No, no! And does the teaching master? I do not think so. The one-way, static education system condemns us to repeat what we know differently, and if we don't want that, I think we should change the foundations of the education system.
If the boundaries between faculty and students were diffuse, for example, roles would be continuously changed and we would go to community studies. If we do not reject unlearning, we would find ourselves breathing in more holistic learning processes, without fear of the formation of readable knowledge that is sewn and released. If we created resources of empathy and openness, we would be partners…
Types of education transmit life models and vice versa. If we want changes, we will have to feel/think/undertake in complex multilayer dimensions. I don't know how it's done, but I know I want classmates.
On the Internet comes the title of a movie that I still saw when I was growing up looking for the word Willow. In this fantasy film, the protagonist, a small man named Willow, transformed the world by liberating its inhabitants from an oppressive kingdom. Google just launched a... [+]
Araia told me to write to you. He told me that before I leave them (I will do this this year), they want to take you a text of mine, which I have never taken you, and that you deserve, that you will be proud of me. Such an opportunity cannot be missed. I don't know what I can... [+]
I have recently had the opportunity to see the latest work by Pierre Carles, a committed documentary author. Under the name of Guérilla des FARC, l'avenir a une histoire (FARC guerrilla, the future has history), proposes a renewed account of the armed conflict that has lasted... [+]
The poor management of the Valencian cold drop has led to a change in adverse meteorological alerts, as shown in the first season of "winter". Faced with the threat of rivers overflowing in Hego Euskal Herria, the indications for protection came along several paths, since no... [+]
We're in chaos. That has been said to us by the French media, which Parliament has brought down the government on 4 December. The fear that political, institutional, social, economic chaos will rage us all in the horde of hell comes to our veins. What comedy we're going to play... [+]
