With the beginning of the era of change, the movement of the occupation began to resurface in Pamplona, after having been almost dead in the last years of the UPN. The fact is that in these three years the City of Pamplona has opened new roads and has spent a good amount of money to transfer spaces of municipal property to young people and social groups (Mendillorri, Txantrea). Also in the Casco Viejo de Pamplona, after almost three years of open and long process, the Plazara initiative has been carried out, for the adaptation and transfer of the Gran Palacio Cruzat de la calle Mayor to the groups that have participated in the process. However, the people who have carried out the occupation of Pamplona did not want to participate in the process. The first occupation coincided, not casually, with the change in a building owned by the Government of Navarra. In those days, EH Bildu knew that these youth groups wanted to occupy something, and the mayor of Pamplona sent municipal police officers for the conservation of empty municipal buildings. Faced with the intentions of the Okupas, the City itself opened another way to give way to these people, as youth entertainment is a municipal competition, and gave way to a building next to the Casco Viejo. However, these young people did some works without permission and that path was frustrated. Meanwhile, another group of young people had occupied a private building on the Paseo de Sarasate. The officers of the Pamplona Municipal Police evicted the occupants by order of the judge on call and there were incidents and injuries, as well as detainees. The Municipal Police was in the hands of EH Bildu. Then there was the occupation of the empty building of Navarrería, acquired a long time ago by the Government of Navarra (with the money of all), under the command of UPN, at EUR 1,700,000. It should be noted that, on the basis of a safety report, the mayor of Pamplona issued a resolution last May to ban the acts of gaztetxe and ordered the Municipal Police to prevent every act of this occupied building. The order is maintained, but obviously it is not complied with. However, the Government of Navarra, on the proposal of the Interior Minister, opted for the judicial route and, finally, sent the foreign police by court order. Now, the right is happy, because she had lost all hope for next year’s elections, and they want to make a big profit for the young woman. The forces of change will therefore have to work to regain mutual trust and find a way out of the issue of gaztetxe. However, it is difficult, as none of the forces of change is using gaztetxe to tear down the Government of Navarra. So things, taking advantage of the force of a gaztetxe, UPN comes back, Marvels is emptied, and the movement of the occupation is practically dead for a few years.
