Aires zigzagueantes
Like the movements of a snake, S.E.R.P.I.E.N.T.E. The band's songs are zigzag, haunting, fascinating. They lead us to mysterious environments, to situations of trance and confusion, and they evoke diverse sensations.
It's air with post-punk and dark-wave dyes from the late 1970s and early 1980s. They remind us of Joy Division, Siouxie and the Banshees and other groups at the time, but S.E.R.P.I.N.T.E. The group has their personality, their personal touch, their way of creating and playing their songs.
In fact, they define the music that they do as Euskal-wave/suge-synth, and they say that their intention is to experiment. They take care of aesthetics with great attention, and a clear example of this is the video clip they have made with the theme Ar.
The melodies are raw, sad and somewhat dark melodies, and in them the sounds of the synthesizers, the games of the voices, the solidity of the bass and the repetitive rhythms of the battery, in most cases, and very intense.
It's not a rock group in use. For example, they don't use guitar, but bass plays two roles very well, guitar and bass.
S.E.R.P.I.E.T.E. The group consists of the Bilbaite musicians Ana, Beatriz and Elena. The group was founded in 2015 and despite the changes the group has undergone over these years, the group has maintained its personality. By the end of 2017 they have completed their first recording, a EP with five themes, or a short-lived album, which will be released in September. S.E.R.P.I.E.N.T.E. It's an interesting group. To continue to enjoy its spectacular zigzagging air, we will carefully observe its movements, its new songs and, of course, its performances in public, which act with great passion on the stage.
