Reading Kilian Jornet's biography two or three years ago, in a test that immediately took his body to the limit and the limit, and which was about to give up, he exposed his intimate thoughts: “I have to end up with my family” – they were waiting on arrival. My first thought: “But what has your family asked you for? Who is that need? What exactly has to be demonstrated?” What impression did those words give me! It has to do with the need to confuse the family into their own sporting achievements. I'm going to open the melon.

First of all, I'm not going to deny that the successes we get in our lives are influenced by the family of our environment, in one way or another, showing their support and support. However, to what extent should these achievements be attributed to the family? Moreover, why do we feel the need to publicly express this experience? And why is this outcrop more normalized and assumed than in any other sports arena?

In recent acts of welcoming, homage or recognition to different athletes, we have seen many surrounded by families. If we compare the case of professional athletes with any other job, it would not seem normal for the whole family to come to the celebration at the time of retirement. Or yes? And would our family's pride be the same? Or not? Is it possible that only in the case of athletes does the family make a real effort that deserves public recognition?

And when the athlete chooses how to explain to the family? For example, win a championship, take the kids in their arms and put them between the eyes and the screams of thousands of people. That is why several athletes have been fined. Or the need or the habit of making the last few meters of a career with the son or daughter in her arms? What is the meaning of that image? Is the child a trophy? Is personal pride being projected on children? Do I want to share a moment of joy with the family? Do you publicly state that your father or mother is committed? Are the difficulties of being an athlete and father or mother a way of celebrating achievements combined with effort? All together? None?

The desire to preserve the image of children, their intimacy and their privacy in today's society faces a permanent public exposure of one's own life on social networks. So what leads us to sport to explain behaviors that are not manifested in other areas? Why apply a different criterion? Are we mixing model and hero concepts? What is the reason the family appears or shows up in their sporting achievements?
