In the ARGIA of 6 May, Pello Zubiria Kamino explained very clearly how the arms industry has been imposed on the European Union’s budgets. It is truly frightening and disturbing. The theme deserves to be expanded: in daily attitudes and conversations one can see the aggressiveness and acceptance of the state of war.

Some believe that human evolution is to move towards general peace, and in the meantime many Basques and Basques want the peace process that has begun in our people to take place. But obstacles and doubts are multiplied along that road. See also the conflict between Palestine and Israel: Who believes that they can never achieve peace? Is it not recognised by the majority of the world that the Middle East is a permanent war centre? And that a stronger war is man's fate? In principle, believing in peace is necessary to survive, but it is clear that society has profoundly authoritative violence.

In class, I note that for most adolescents it is normal to represent the world with weapons and soldiers; some of their works engulf the torture of the evil ones, without taking into account that the practice of torture is prohibited, because the ordinary media disseminate this type of simulations, because in the families the conversations go through this thread and, in general, because the vocabulary of violence has become commonplace.

But it's also more surprising: the principals and teachers of the public centers have a new opportunity to educate with real authority the students who are not standing in our classes, with the help of the army. However, since 2011, National Education and the French Army have signed a participation in which interested centers (school, college or high school) may require blended students to form a “class of defense, citizenship and security”. In these special classes, the students have a close relationship with an army section: if they have electronic exchanges throughout the year, the officers have reached the class, the students can visit nuclear submarines or training centers, and they themselves can experience crisis intervention through play. The advantage is that teachers are almost assured of peace with their incurable students in class and, in the end, learn to respect the rules. For its part, the Army, in addition to preparing for further recruitment, wants to give a positive image to society thanks to this type of device – in the funst, in the breadth of schools last year, did the 15-year-old not wonder if the writing was done with the praise of the Army? In addition, specific training for teachers has also been implemented in the Schools of Magisterium, in order to make them more familiar with the army and to be better praised in subsequent classes... To accompany children who are in difficulties through writing workshops, theatre, crafts, music or beneficial protocols as if it were nothing but an obsolete chimera of the pacifist idealists.

At a time when the military response becomes common to solve problems, spaces of understanding and spiritual cultivation have become more necessary than ever: medical indications that help us to interpret what happens, offered by various media or associations that aim to transform society, overcoming any difficulties. First of all, we need tertulia, that we know how to know, deconstruct, conquer or reject the mythologies that are in force in society, in a global and local way, so that there is no general disaster for the sake of gentleness.
