ETA, on its own, has put an end to more than sixty years of history and has made self-criticism of the damage caused by Francoist heirs, or by those who pushed the dirty wars. However, I am convinced that the ghost of ETA, like that of the Cid Campeador, will be used in various areas, including the field of dialectic war, precisely with the intention of taking advantage of it.

In literature, for example. The complaint is that the Basque writers have spoken little and with a low voice about the Basque Conflict, and we have written it in a very timid way. Although this slogan is a lie, after repeating it a thousand times by mouth of interested speakers, it has become a topic.

It is, therefore, about the violence being perpetrated and the areas to which it is confined. Because not everything is lawful or beneficial from the point of view of an ethics and an emancipating strategy.

Our critical analysis with ETA. From the birth of ETA to the end of its activity, there have been important strategic changes, which cannot be denied. The initial ETA had doubts and balances regarding the integration of objectives and roads, as well as their integration. However, over time, ETA’s armed activity became increasingly militaristic, to the detriment of the political strategy. Instead of winning the heart and attracting solidarity, it seemed that its goal was to assimilate the nausea and boredom of people, hoping to create a climate favorable to negotiation in society. The worst thing for us was that with that unacceptable drift it also caused enormous damage to the Abertzale left, and it was increasingly clear, especially when they claimed or theorized the “socialization of suffering”.

The explanation was not good for leftist critics. It is that how to differentiate from ETA’s activity, unlike many others (EPK, EE), without being trapped in the state and within the framework of the system. There was the key.
