With the electric suit
It is normal for Joseba Tapia to be associated with the trikitixa, but in recent years he has also worked with the guitar. For example, Tximela kapitainaren Izarrak made the album with an acoustic guitar, and Besamotza has recorded her new work with an electric guitar. With trikitixa, he's a great musician, and with the guitar, he's also doing great.
He has performed with electric guitar 11 songs created throughout his solo career. These songs are Tximela kapitainaren Izarrak (Zakurra Biolina, 2013), Eta stripeta tunba (Zakurren Biolina, 2010), Real Politik (Zakurra Biolina, 2006) and Quebec, fourteen songs for independence (Gaztelupeko Hotsak, 1999).
These are nice songs, and on the new album you can hear with the electric suit, stronger, but without losing either the vitality, the rigor, the salt, or the bell pepper. They've been fine with electric guitar, sleek, punch and other drawings. As a rock band. This is how trikitixa plays and also sounds of pasodouble taste, reggae, ska and country in a natural way.
Singing and playing the electric guitar, Joseba Tapia has worked with the bass guitar and the accordion and has been in charge of programming, and in the recording sessions he has counted on the collaboration of the following musicians: Iker Uriarte (jazpana), Iñigo Telletxea (electric), Dani Narbarte (accordion), Jexux Aranburu Txus (organ), and Maider Ansa, Andoni Tolosa Morau, Txuma Murugarren and Bernardo Goietxe (vocals).
Besamotzak, besides being the title of the album, is also the name of the project that Tapia started about a year ago: Besamotzak Group. Iñigo Telletxea, Iker Uriarte and Dani Narbarte have been playing in public the songs that can be heard on the album.
These days, the group Joseba Tapia & Besamotzak is performing performances to present his album, and among others, on February 25 he will play in Elizondo. The songs of Joseba Tapia will be a very special program to listen and enjoy first hand with the electric suit.
