Forests of all colours

The ecologists in Bizkaia want to change these figures. In public lands (only 27%), the native forest is recovered to 41% of forest areas and the allochthonous planting is reduced to 59%.

In my humble opinion, both are essential. They are complementary, not opposed. According to the book written by British ecologist George Monbiot in defence of the forests of Wales and Scotland (Feral: Rewilding the Land, The Sea and the Human, 2016; in Spanish Salvaje, Capitan Swing, 2017) is a global conflict between those who have land, those who use it and those who want to take care of the Earth.
