Paris is worth a Mass (*)

The Declaration of Aiete, the acts of Luhuso and Baiona – the disarmament of ETA – have opened the way for the process of normalisation in this conflict without a negotiated solution. It was not a coincidence, but causality. The first step was in Aiete, in Gipuzkoa. For a while the Abertzale left managed power in the territory. It is no coincidence that this type of peace process has been carried out in Ipar Euskal Herria, since the influence of the conflict has been different and the “culture of democracy” has been rooted in it in a different way, both in society and in the State of which it depends.
In the political game of the two states rooted in the depths of Euskal Herria, France seems to want to take the initiative once and for all. However, the key to resolving the conflict is Spain. The needs of the warring fighters (their liberation) have long been confronted with the needs of this people in favour of their sovereignty. A clear indicator of the correlations of conflicting forces.
At the same time a demonstration was held in favour of the Basque prisoners at the Madeleine Church where the funeral of musician Johnny Hallyday was held.
